Ocean City, Maryland is the White Marlin Capital of the World, offering various opportunities to enjoy fishing on head boats, charter boats, public fishing piers, bottom-fishing on the bay, or private boats (either bring your own or rent one while you are here). Surf-Fishing in Ocean City
Surf fishing is permitted in Ocean City but you must be at least fifty (50) yards from anyone on the beach or swimmers between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Surf-fishing is permitted on Assateague Island except on guarded beaches and surfing zones. For more information on Assateague Island, contact the visitors center at 410-641-1441.
